ليس هناك مجال أسرع تطورا كمجال الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات. ولهذا السبب، فإن المهمة الأكثر صعوبة في عملنا هو كيفية مواجهة تحديات هذه التغيرات السريعة والمستمرة. فمنذ إنشاء تيليمن، باعتبارها الفرع المحلي للشركة البريطانية المعروفة؛ شركة البرق واللاسلكي، وحتى تحولها إلى شركة وطنية، فقد ساهمت تيليمن بشكل إيجابي في تغيير تاريخ الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية في اليمن وكانت دائما السباقة في الاستحواذ على أحدث تقنيات الاتصالات في المنطقة. وإن إطلاقها لأحدث المحطات الأرضية للأقمار الصناعية الرقمية والمقسمات الهاتفية المبرمجة بنظام التخزين في مطلع الثمانينات إلى إطلاق خدمات تيليمن للهاتف الخلوي والإنترنت في أوائل التسعينيات ليعتبر سبقا في المنطقة العربية.
اليوم، وكون تيليمن هي بوابة الاتصالات الدولية الوحيدة فهي تلتزم بتزويد جميع شركات الاتصالات الوطنية وعملائها من الشركات التجارية بمختلف أنواع خدمات الاتصالات الدولية باستخدام أحدث التقنيات المتاحة. فنحن نعمل بجد لتوسيع شبكتنا في مجال الاتصالات الدولية باستخدام أحدث التقنيات المتقدمة لضمان ربط آمن للبلاد بقدرات الاتصالات الكبيرة وبما يتناسب مع الحاجة المتزايدة والسريعة لنقل المعلومات واستخدام الإنترنت والتأكد من أنها ستكون كافية لتزويد البلاد بما تحتاجه في هذا المجال للسنوات العشر القادمة. وبالإضافة إلى الكابلات البحرية، والكابلات الأرضية، والاتصالات عبر الأقمار الصناعية، فإن تيليمن تستثمر حاليا عشرات الملايين من الدولارات لتوسيع شبكتها الدولية كي يكون لها صلة مباشرة بالدول الشرقية والغربية من خلال المشاركة مع أكثر من عشرين شركة دولية تعمل من خلال اتفاقيات لتمديد كابلات الألياف الضوئية عبر المحيطات والبحار وكل ذلك من أجل تلبية احتياجات عملائنا والمساهمة في تطوير البلاد لضمان مستقبل أفضل للأجيال القادمة.
